Martyn has been playing and teaching guitar for over 25 years. He has studied music and sound engineering in higher education as well as gaining a distinction at grade 8 in plectrum guitar with Trinity Guildhall. He has also spent many years playing in various bands gigging through out the UK.

Martyn teaches many styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, classical and folk. His pupils range from young children to retired adults and everything in between. Martyn teaches students with a wide range of abilities from absolute beginners to those who are wanting to sit their grade 8 exams and beyond.

Martyn maintains that learning an instrument should be fun and enjoyable. He mixes studying the essentials of guitar playing with learning the music that you want to play.
