Description goMy son has always enjoyed going to his guitar lesson, so much so that he asked for a double lesson! Martyn has always been very flexible and accommodating with lessons and I know my son is learning a lot.

He's not new to the guitar so he has a large musical vocabulary and is very knowledgeable on music theory. His lessons are both student and teacher led so if your doing something tricky and want to give up he'll push you, but he wont make you do any pointless exercises that don’t pertain to the aspect of guitar that you want to explore. He can teach a very wide variety of genres.

Martyn is a superb guitar teacher. He's taken my son from complete beginner up to grade 8, where he scored a distinction (top marks).

Martyn is a highly capable musician, proficient across a wide range of styles and with an encyclopaedic knowledge of music theory! But perhaps more importantly, he clearly loves to teach and bring out the best in his students. He pitches his lessons well - always patient and encouraging, but also confident and great fun. My son looks forward to every lesson, and so do I!

Martyn has an incredible depth of knowledge and experience which he brings to guitar tutoring, so is skilfully able to teach any guitar genre at any level - would recommend!

Samuel came to Martyn self taught at a basic level and has not progressed to Grade 3. As an older learner, I appreciate Martyn’s support and patience throughout my musical journey. Even though it has been challenging for me at times, Martyn has always encouraged me to continue learning at my own pace. His enthusiasm and skill as a great guitarist and teacher has carried me along.

I do really enjoy guitar my lessons with Martyn.  He's a great teacher, a skilled and experienced musician, a multi-instrumentalist, who plays guitar, bass, drums really well. And one of the loveliest guys I know - nice and easy to talk to person, and it's always a great to chats about blues and rock with him. He's very supportive, inspiring, insightful and uplifts me enormously, making me believe in my playing. - I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to play better, or just starts, or only interested.
